Spartans Youth Baseball 14U Fall To Buffalo Rake Showcase 14U After Surrendering Big Third Inning
Buffalo Rake Showcase 14U scored nine runs in the third inning, which helped them defeat Spartans Youth Baseball 14U 12-2 on Tuesday.
Spartans Youth Baseball 14U captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first after Devon Wells singled, and Wells stole home, each scoring one run.
Brayden Lang opened the game for Spartans Youth Baseball 14U. They allowed seven hits and three runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Kopacz stepped on the mound first for Buffalo Rake Showcase 14U. The right-handed pitcher gave up five hits and two runs over five innings, striking out six and walking three.
Gavin Hoffman, Karvel Martino, Pj Reeves, Lang, and Wells each collected one hit for Spartans Youth Baseball 14U. Wells led Spartans Youth Baseball 14U with one run batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Spartans Youth Baseball 14U didn't commit a single error in the field. Reeves had the most chances in the field with seven.
